What this guide is (and isn’t)
Search data from thousands of overseas buyers shows a consistent pattern: people looking for “replica websites” in China usually end up in the same physical wholesale markets — because almost every famous “website list” is really a list of markets and the stallholders behind them. This guide skips the gray-zone framing and maps the 12 wholesale hubs in China that those queries actually point to, with practical notes on what each market sells, who it’s for, and how to buy safely and legally.
We run Soudangkou (搜档网), a directory of verified stall contacts (WeChat/WhatsApp) across these markets — so the notes below come from walking the floors, not from copying other listicles.
The 12 markets behind the query
1. Zhanxi Watch & Clock City (Guangzhou) — watches
The densest watch trading hub in South China, steps from Guangzhou Railway Station. Hundreds of counters trade everything from OEM factory stock to custom-logo private-label builds. Buyer’s note: insist on seeing movement photos and asking for the factory name, not just the trader’s WeChat. Directory: Zhanxi watch stall contacts.
2. Baiyun World Leather City (Guangzhou) — bags & small leather goods
Guangzhou’s best-known leather goods building, organized by floor (higher floors skew to factory-direct). Most stalls do private label and OEM for overseas brands — bring your logo files and you can have samples in 48 hours. Buyer’s note: never copy protected logos; “same quality, your brand” is the legal and sustainable play. Directory: Baiyun leather city stalls.
3. Nanyou High-End Women’s Wear (Shenzhen) — women’s clothing
Shenzhen’s Nanyou district is where many European boutique labels are actually sewn. “Original design” buildings sit next to export-leftover (外贸尾单) buildings; quality ranges from mall-grade to showroom-grade. Directory: Nanyou stall contacts.
4. Jinbo / Kinbo Foreign Trade Men’s Wear (Guangzhou, Zhanxi circle) — menswear
The Zhanxi commercial circle’s menswear anchor, strong in suits, jackets and business-casual OEM. Most stalls speak enough English for order-taking; serious buyers go straight to the factory showrooms upstairs. Directory: Kinbo menswear stalls.
5. Guoda Shoes Market (Guangzhou) — dress shoes & private label
The reference point for leather-shoe wholesale in Guangzhou: men’s dress shoes, women’s heels, plus sneaker factories taking custom orders from a few dozen pairs. Directory: Guoda shoe stall contacts.
6. Putian footwear cluster (Fujian) — athletic & casual OEM
China’s athletic-shoe manufacturing heartland. The wholesale markets here are factory storefronts; many produce for domestic sportswear brands and accept overseas OEM. Buyer’s note: order under your own trademark — factories are set up for it. Directory: Putian shoe stalls.
7. Kangmei & Huidong shoe belt (Guangzhou) — fast fashion footwear
Lower price points, fast restock cycles, MOQs friendly to small sellers. Directory: Kangmei shoe stalls.
8. Guangfu Nan Road trend belt (Guangzhou) — streetwear & trend apparel
The Chao brand (潮牌) district: trend-driven apparel, small MOQs, new styles weekly. Popular with Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern buyers. Directory: Guangfu Nan Road stalls.
9. Shisanhang (13 Hongs) clothing wholesale (Guangzhou) — women’s fast fashion
The largest women’s fast-fashion wholesale cluster in China; styles refresh daily. Best for volume buyers who refresh SKUs weekly. Directory: Shisanhang stalls.
10. Shahe clothing market (Guangzhou) — budget basics
China’s cheapest serious-quality apparel wholesale; tees, basics and ecommerce filler. Expect low prices and truckload logistics. Directory: Shahe market stalls.
11. Changshu foreign-trade village (Jiangsu) — export leftovers & mall returns
The famous 外贸村: export overruns, mall returns and brand-adjacent stock sorted by grade. Great margins if you can grade quality yourself. Directory: Changshu stall contacts.
12. Haining Leather City (Zhejiang) — leather & fur
China’s largest leather-garment wholesale city; winter stock peaks September–November. Factories here also do OEM for European brands. Directory: Haining stalls.
How to buy safely (the part most lists skip)
- Trade through the market, not around it. The building management office exists for disputes; a random WeChat contact doesn’t.
- Verify the seller is a stallholder, not a middleman. Ask which floor/shop they’re in and video-call them standing in front of it — this is exactly why we publish verified stall locations and WeChat contacts on Soudangkou.
- Respect IP. “White label with your logo” is mainstream here; “same logo as a famous brand” is where customs seizures and payment freezes start. Factories in every market above will happily do the former.
- Sample before volume. Every market listed does 1–3 piece samples; use them.
- Use escrow or trade assurance for first orders; switch to direct WeChat settlement only after 2–3 clean transactions.
Frequently asked questions
Can I visit these markets as a foreigner? Yes — all twelve are open to international buyers; Guangzhou and Yiwu even have hotel clusters built around them.
Do stallholders speak English? Enough for prices and MOQs; for specs use WeChat translate or a bilingual sourcing agent.
What’s the real MOQ? In-market purchases: 1–10 pieces. True factory OEM: typically 100–300 pieces per style/color.
Where do I get stall WeChat contacts without flying to China first? That’s the gap Soudangkou was built for — browse the directory, filter by market, and message stalls directly.
